Congratulations to Mike Rossi - our Watch 'Em Drop Winner!

I had booked a moose hunt in Northern B.C. Wondering what broadhead I would use, I came across a Grim Reaper DVD. I was blown away after viewing the footage and had made a phone call to the staff at Grim Reaper. I had spoken to Matt Bateman to get his opinion on the particular broadhead he recommended. On Sept. 21, Dustin Roe, my guide, was cow calling and a huge bull was coming right to us. The bull hung up a couple of times, but eventually ended up coming within shooting range. At 55 yards broadside, I released the wrath of the Grim Reaper Razortip 100 gr, 1 3/8” cut. The arrow zipped through the vitals. Because it was pouring rain, we walked toward where the bull ran behind some pines and found the bull ran about 25 yards and bedded down. I made a small loop and flanked the bull. The bull stood up and I quickly zipped another Razortip through him. He went another 25 yards and fell to his demise. The penetration and flight of these broadheads are incredible. I will be using Grim Reapers for all species I hunt from now on.

Congratulations to Mike Flo - our Bone Busting Winner!

My name is Mike Flo and I have been an avid bow hunter for 27 years. Technology has offered many improvements for archers since I have been involved in the sport. After my first bow kill, I was hooked and since then have been passionate about bowhunting. I decided to take advantage of the benefits being offered by manufacturers in the industry. Year after year I changed something, bow, sight, rest, stabilizer, arrows, treestand, boots or clothing but only changed my broadhead once, from 4 blade to 3 blade. Regarding my broadheads, like the saying goes "if it ain't broke don't fix it'. One thing I can say is that I did test several mechanicals as they were marketed and decided they weren't for me, I'll stick with the tried and true fixed blades. Over the past year or so I had several people mention to me they are using Grim Reaper broadheads with great success. I did some research to find out what all the hype was. I was intrigued by the Grim Reaper videos found on line, actually amazed. Although I was impressed with the videos and testimonials I read....excellent marketing strategy....decided not for me. As the 2008 season rolled around I got the itch to try something new, said what can I change this year? The decision, broadheads. I decided to try the Grim Reaper 85 grain Razortip. I made a decision I hoped I would not regret, not only changing my broadhead but not paper tuning or practicing with them, based on the claim they fly like target tips. A reliable friend recommended "don't waste one they are too expensive" his experience was that they fly identical to the field tips. We have identical setups except for the fact that I shoot left handed, so I took my chances. On October 26th, 2008, I headed to the woods with my Dad (my hunting partner) to a new area that we had scouted earlier in the year and figured it had potential to fill a tag. At 5:00 pm a large doe came off a steep ridge and headed my way. She made the mistake and turned away giving me a 28 yard quartering away shot. I drew my Mathews Switchback set @ 62# and released the 27" carbon express maxima 250 shaft tipped with the Grim Reaper Razor Tip 85 gr 1 3/8" cut....hit a little above the mark (didn't compensate enough for the up hill shot)....and as advertised I "watched her drop". In complete amazement I reached for my cell phone to take a picture of where she dropped and skid down the ravine. Not to mention the huge entrance hole and massive amount of blood she lost instantly. I called my dad and told him "you are not going to believe what just happened; you have to come see this!". When he arrived to our amazement not only did I get to watch'em drop but Grim Reaperized the doe's spine! Made me a believer, the entrance hole was massive, blades are scalpel sharp, the flight is perfect, the penetration and bone busting power is unmatched!!

Congratulations to Travis Hensley - our Entrance Hole Winner!

I started using Grim Reapers at the end of last season. I did a bunch of research and saw some of the pictures; I thought that I would give them a try. I told my buddy and he decided to use the Grim Reapers too. He was a little skeptical until he shot this doe on Saturday night. He is "HOOKED" and so am I....I cannot believe the damage / trauma these heads cause....take a look at this...it is unbelievable....

(I ended up taking a doe on Monday night. She snow plowed for 65 yards and piled up in the field.)

Here is the story...

He was sitting in a creek bottom near a corn field...the doe came through the creek bottom and only presented him with a head on shot. He ranged the deer to be 28 yds....he placed the pin on her back, just behind her head......he touched the release and struck her right in the left side of the back.

The arrow entered the left side of the deer and exited on the lower right side of the deer. It nearly pushed her guts out of the exit hole. The broadhead even struck her in the right leg after passing through the entire chest cavity of the deer.
